Common questions
So is it one account or two?
One. Your Member account is the foundation. When you complete the contributor training, your same account simply gains contributor abilities — like an endorsement added to a driver's license. Same email, same password, same login button.
Do I have to become a contributor?
No. Many of our members never go through the training, and that's completely fine. The training is required only if you want to upload content to NOCM or check out station equipment.
Who can become a contributor?
You're eligible if you're at least 18 years old (minors can participate with parental consent) and you either live in Clallam or Jefferson County, work for a Peninsula-based nonprofit or business, or have a documented vested interest in the North Olympic Peninsula.
How much does it cost?
Membership is free. Contributor training is free. If you'd like to support NOCM financially, we welcome donations — but nothing in this process costs you anything but time.
I'm a partner organization, not an individual. Where do I go?
Partner organizations use a separate sign-in at partner.nocm.live for posting events and uploading content. Individuals from a partner organization who also want to contribute under their own name should join here as a Member.
What happens to my information?
NOCM stores only what we need to serve you: name, contact info, and your activity on the platform. We never sell or share your information. Sensitive data like signed agreements is encrypted at rest.
